Abstract: Alice V. Keliher was born in Washington, D.C., in 1903 and was a scholar and expert in early school education. She taught at NYU from 1936 to 1960 and later at Wheelock College in Boston. She was also a close friend and neighbor of Eleanor Roosevelt, with whom she shared a concern for human rights issues. The collection includes articles, correspondence and personal memorabilia relating to her life and work in child education and development.
