Historical/Biographical Note

Dr. Richard C. Lonsdale became Professor of Educational Administration and Chairman of the Department of Administration and Supervision in the School of Education of New York University in 1964. The following year his title changed to the Head of the Division of Administration and Supervision, a position he held until 1968 when he resigned from his administrative position and focused his efforts on his professorial duties. Lonsdale later served as member of the NYU Senate and the University Faculty Council.
