The bulk of the materials were transferred from the New York Institute for the Humanties to the University Archives in 2002. An additional transfer of audio recordings was made in 2007.
The majority of the files are open for research without restrictions, although University administrative records are closed for 20 years from the date of creation. Access to student records is limited by FERPA. Specific information relating to applications and appointments is also restricted.
This collection is in off-site storage.
