Materials in the collection relate to Hoyt's ancestors, including his parents, Alma Jacobson Hoyt and Lewis S. Hoyt, his maternal grandparents, Ernestine Aschner Jacobson and Isaac W. Jacobson, maternal great-grandparents, Abraham and Jeannette Wachsmann Aschner, as well as aunts and great-uncles.
