| Abstract:

The New York World's Fair collection includes materials from the 1939 and 1964 World's
Fairs. Both took place in Queens, N.Y. at Flushing Meadows Park, a site that was extensively
redesigned and landscaped in preparation for the 1939 Fair. The collection contains
pre-planning documents, preliminary site reports, maps to the grounds, public relations
material, memorabilia, clippings, artifacts, invitations to Fair ceremonies, and individual
pavilion guides, among other items.
