This collection primarily documents the planning of the pageant, mostly during 1914, and include minutes of regular planning meetings and special meetings of the Brooklyn Historical Pageant; correspondence; news clippings; memos; lists and notes of the planning committee; programs, and drafts of scripts.

Historical note

The Brooklyn Historical Pageant, sponsored by a private committee of Brooklyn residents, was held at the 23rd Regiment Armory in Brooklyn on May 21 and 22, 1915. The pageant featured costumed performances and presentations that celebrated 300 years of historical people, events and places in Brooklyn. Over 3000 people took part in the pageant.
