Abstract

This collection consists of wills, receipts, bonds, deeds, correspondence, genealogical notes, photographs, and other legal documents pertaining to the allied Hall, Rohr, Van Winkle, and Peaslee families of New York City. Though all four families are documented in genealogical notes, the majority of the material relates to members of the Hall family, including Charles M. (1863-1914) and Ella Louise Hall and their daughters, Vivien Whittier Smith, Sibyl Peaslee Moon, and Ruth Elizabeth Hall, and mostly concerns the estates of Charles M. and Ella Louise Hall. Materials cover the period 1633 to 1929.
