This collection consists of two 1863 letters from Robert Lamb, a Corporal in the New York Volunteer Infantry, to his brother and sister in New York, written while Lamb was stationed in Virginia during the Civil War.

This collection consists of two letters from Robert Lamb, a Corporal in the 170th Regiment of the New York Volunteer Infantry (commonly known as Corcoran's Irish Legion) during the Civil War, to his brother and sister in New York. The letters were written by Lamb on February 18 and September 24, 1863, while Lamb was stationed in Virginia.
