Abstract: Power of attorney document appointing Louis Wimpelberg the attorney of Richard Beverly, and granting Wimpelberg the power in Beverly's stead to collect from Reuben Case of Brooklyn, N.Y. all money that may be due Beverly for the taking of the “Mobile” (meaning Mobile Bay, AL) by the U.S.S. Lackawanna during the Civil War. The document is dated January 4, 1866.
