Abstract

Bill of sale for Sine (b. 1817), an enslaved African American woman, from John Ditmars of the town of Flatlands, Kings County, to Jacob Duryee of the town of Flatbush. The bill is dated June 16, 1825.

Biographical note

John Ditmars was commander of the Third Regiment of the New York State Militia from 1811 to 1814.
