Abstract
A bound paperback of the booklet, "Common-Sense" in the Farm-house or, Young Mothers' Assistant, written by Kate Conger Baker and published in 1882. The booklet is essentially a cookbook, containing basic recipes for a variety of dishes, including salads, appetizers, main courses, baked goods, and desserts. Kate Conger Baker (1832-1907) was an author and homemaker who lived in Brooklyn and Great Neck, Long Island.
