Biographical Note
William C. Kingsley (1833-1885) was a businessman, politican, and engineer who served as a member of the Board of Trustees, Vice-President, and President of the New York Bridge Company, the firm that oversaw the building of the Brooklyn Bridge.
John B. Woodward (1835-1896) was a Brooklyn businessman involved in the import-export trade in South America. He also served in the Brooklyn-based 13th Regiment of the New York National Guard, and was a mayoral candidate in Brooklyn in 1885.
