Abstract

Three engrossed resolutions in honor of William C. Kingsley, dating from 1885, and three engrossed resolutions in honor of General John B. Woodward, dating from 1896.

Biographical Note

William C. Kingsley (1833-1885) was a businessman, politican, and engineer who served as a member of the Board of Trustees, Vice-President, and President of the New York Bridge Company, the firm that oversaw the building of the Brooklyn Bridge.

John B. Woodward (1835-1896) was a Brooklyn businessman involved in the import-export trade in South America. He also served in the Brooklyn-based 13th Regiment of the New York National Guard, and was a mayoral candidate in Brooklyn in 1885.
