Collection consists of visual materials pertaining to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, dating from 1880 to the 1980s. These include: an 1880 photograph of 87 Bedford Avenue (Kings County Fire Insurance Company); an 1882 photograph of 84 Bedford Avenue (Burgess florist shop and The Hat Box); print of an 1888 photograph documenting an explosion at Stover's Department Store (at Bedford Avenue and South 6th Street); a postcard featuring the Ross Street Presbyterian Church; and documentation of the fountain at Bedford Avenue and Division Avenue, including two small photographs (circa 1891), and two clippings (circa 1960s and 1980s).

Many items which were part of the original accession were separated from these items. They include two picture cards; seven trade cards and flyers; two Piano Manufacturer's song sheets; a Lee Avenue Academy of Music Programme, 1890; Amphion Theater programme and ticket stubs, 1897; United Boy's Brigade of America, Annual Memorial Service booklet, 1911; 46th Anniversary Parade, Eastern District Sabbath Schools of Brooklyn Sunday School Union booklet, 1907; and legal documents pertaining to William H. Meyers, 1851-1878. These items may have been incorporated into existing collections at the Brooklyn Historical Society at some point in the past.
