Itamar Goldstein, 2011 December 9
Itamar Goldstein was born to a Yemenite Jewish mother and an American Jewish father in Jerusalem, Israel. Goldstein served in the Israeli army as a young adult and moved to Brooklyn, New York to attend medical school at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in New York City.
Scope and Contents
In the interview, Goldstein discusses his childhood; travel experiences; service in the Israeli army; experiences as an Israeli Jew living in in New York City; impressions of the Arab-Israeli conflict; and the distinct religious, cultural, and linguistic practices of Yemenite Jews and other Jewish ethnic groups in Israel.
