Abstract

This collection contains a 16 mm film containing three segments, circa 1930. The first segment shows a foot race from New York City Hall to Coney Island, the second shows a wedding of three brothers of the Sultan of Morocco, and the third shows showgirls auditioning for the stage. The film is silent, black-and-white, and runs five minutes and thirty seconds. It was produced by Major Tom Evans and edited by A.F. Bernadac.

The donor's father purchased the film at a garage sale in the late 1980s or early 1990s.

In 2009 the film was migrated to four other formats: one 16 mm "A" wind preservation duplicate negative, one 16 mm preservation silent answer print, one Digital Betacam cassette tape, and one DVD.
