Abstract: |
Dawn Eden Goldstein (b. 1968), an American author and journalist, began writing about
rock music under the abbreviated name, Dawn Eden, in 1985. She graduated from New
York University with a degree in Communications in 1989. During her tenure as a rock
journalist, Goldstein interviewed numerous musicians including Harry Nilsson, Brian
Wilson, Del Shannon, and Lesley Gore. She also held editorial positions for the New
York Post and the Daily News. This collection documents Goldstein's early career as
a rock journalist and includes several interviews from "Videowave," a Manhattan cable
music television show produced by Alan Abramowitz that pre-dated MTV. Materials include
22 video recordings of "Videowave" interviews featuring Dawn Eden, ephemera, flyers,
photographs, press releases, and promotional materials.
