Abstract
Allison Wolfe (b. 1969), a songwriter and arts journalist, co-founded the third wave feminist punk movement, Riot Grrrl, and the feminist punk fanzine, "Girl Germs." She sang in several bands throughout the 1990s and 2000s including Bratmobile and Cold Cold Hearts, and organized Ladyfest, a non-profit feminist music festival, in 1999. Materials in this collection include two dresses, three "performance slips," and one pair of shoes.
Biographical Note
Allison Wolfe was born in Memphis Tennessee in 1969 and grew up in an all-female household. Her mother, a lesbian feminist, started the first women's health clinic in Olympia, Washington. Wolfe is a songwriter and arts journalist who co-founded the third wave feminist punk movement, Riot Grrrl. She also co-founded the feminist punk fanzine, "Girl Germs," and sang in several bands throughout the 1990s and 2000s including Bratmobile, Cold Cold Hearts, Deep Lust, Partyline, Cool Moms, and Sex Stains. In 1999 she organized Ladyfest, a non-profit feminist music festival. Wolfe received a master's degree in arts journalism from the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.

Scope and Contents
This collection consists of two dresses, three "performance slips," and one pair of shoes. Wolfe wore the slips during the 1990s while performing with the band, Bratmobile. The dresses and shoes are consistent with the style of clothing women wore in the 1990s and early 2000s, which is associated with the third wave feminist punk movement.

Processing Information
The garments were housed in a 16.5" x 20.5" x 3" box. Unbuffered tissue was folded with each garment and the garments were placed on pieces of blue board for support. The shoes were placed in a box with unbuffered tissue for support.
