Descriptive Summary

Title: Allison Wolfe Riot Grrrl Collection
Dates: circa 1992
Abstract: Allison Wolfe (b. 1969), a songwriter and arts journalist, co-founded the third wave feminist punk movement, Riot Grrrl, and the feminist punk fanzine, "Girl Germs." She sang in several bands throughout the 1990s and 2000s including Bratmobile and Cold Cold Hearts, and organized Ladyfest, a non-profit feminist music festival, in 1999. Materials in this collection include two dresses, three "performance slips," and one pair of shoes.
