Abstract: |
Richard Lipton (d. 1992), also known as Dick Lipton, was a actor and director in New
York City. Lipton graduated with a BS from Drexel Institute of Technology and attended
graduate school at Ohio University and the Actor's Workshop at the New School. He
performed in and directed numerous plays at local downtown theaters including the
Judson Poets Theater at Judson Memorial Church on Washington Square. This collection
documents Lipton's career as an actor and director in the downtown theater scene in
New York City during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Materials include one audiocassette,
one audio reel, and one leather bound portfolio containing clippings, photographs,
flyers, resumes, programs, sheet music, song lyrics, and a personal address book.
