Title: Boys' Club of New York Records
Dates: 1876-2002
Abstract: This collection contains organizational records and photographs documenting the history and operations of The Boys' Club of New York ("BCNY"). BCNY was founded in 1876 to provide boys and young men in what is now the East Village with an alternative to street life. Records span the period from its inception to the early 21st century, and include minutes, annual reports, correspondence, publications, financial records, and papers of the alumni association. Photographs make up a significant portion of the collection and provide an especially rich record of the organization's activities in the 1940's and 1950's.
