Includes a copy of the 1776 diary of Dr. James Clitherall, extracts from diaries and letters of Rev. Horace Holley, and an unidentified author's firsthand account of the Chicago fire, 1871. These items do not appear to be Magazine of American History submissions. Lamb's editorial notations can be found on some; their use by her is unclear.
