This collection is comprised of the research notes of Nancy S. Dickinson, a research
fellow at the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation from 1986-1987. The work was funded
by a National Endowment for the Humanities grant for a larger project entitled "English
Ceramics in America 1760-1860: Marketing, Prices, and Availability." Dickinson's research
focused on the ceramics trade in New York during the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
