Scope and Contents noteOne collection consists of letters, mostly to John Reade, 1790-1804, from various senders including Richard Harison, Walter Livingston, and George Ludlow. This John Reade does not appear to be related to the Reades in Lamb's family. Lamb refers to the collection as "autographs." Sent to her by John W. Hamersley, 1880 (his note included). Another small collection, letters between R.M. Hartley and John A. Bryan, pertains to the New York Juvenile Asylum. |
