Abstract: Richard M. Pieronek (1926-2002) was a photographer based in Hamtramck, Michigan. The collection includes about 1200 color photographic slides taken by Pieronek in New York City at various times from the 1950s to the 1970s. Principal subjects include the July 1976 U.S. bicentennial celebrations and the 1964 World's Fair. There are also images of ships, buildings, street scenes, Times Square, Greenwich Village, San Gennaro Festival, the Statue of Liberty, and other subjects.
