This collection, assembled and donated by James and Georganne Garfinkel, contains four sets of photographs: 39 cyanotypes of the constuction of the Manhattan Bridge (1913-1922); 7 theatrical portraits taken by Nicholas Muray of Muray Studio, N.Y. (1920-1925); 10 portraits of Marilyn Monroe by Andre De Dienes (1949-1953); and 10 images by photojournalist Ken Regan (1977-1982).

Some of this material was originally included in the finding aid for the Michael Sonnenfeldt Collection of Theatre, Film, and Entertainment Photography PR 305, which was processed by project intern Brynn White in 2014. This material was separated into a discrete collection and finding aid in 2019 by processing archivist Marybeth Kavanagh.
