Published by the American Puppet Opera Co. of New York City (producers of the Victor Puppet Opera). Booklet contains the "Official Program of Puppet Operas presented in the Gas Exhibits [Gas Industries] Building, New York World's Fair, 1939." Item is made of newsprint and is fragile.

Scope and Contents

Four postcards, each showing a different section of the murals "Strength and Safety" executed by the painter Dean Cornwell for the Body by Fisher exhibit in the General Motors Building at the New York World's Fair. The images picture the evolution of an automobile body from its drawing board conception to its completion on the assembly line.
