Scope and Content Note
The Harvey Wang Photograph Collection spans the period from 1998-1999 and contains photographs of flophouses and flophouse residents on the Bowery in New York City. The collection contains eleven 11x14 inch gelatin silver prints and three 16x20 inch chromogenic color prints. Primarily portraits, the photographs were taken for the book Flophouse: Life on the Bowery, written by David Isay and Stacy Abramson.
