Abstract
This is an artifical collection created by the Archives of Irish America during its early years of collecting. The collection consists of a variety of photographs, many of which document sporting events, musical performances, and social functions organized by various Irish American social or fraternal organizations in the greater New York City area.
Historical/Biographical Note
The Archives of Irish America, a special collection documenting the the Irish migration experience and American Irish ethnicity in the 20th century, accumulated these photographs via active collection by staff, contributions from donors and from material removed from collections in the Archives.
