Erna Polle, under the pen name of P. Erle, wrote an unpublished manuscript, "Madrid Speaks" (c. 1939-40). The collection contains correspondence pertaining to unsuccessful attempts to publish this work; Polle's notes on Madrid Radio station EAR short-wave broadcasts, 1937-38; and clippings, ephemera, and other research materials on the Spanish Civil War and fascism, in both English and Spanish.
