Abstract: The records of the American Committee for Protection of Foreign Born (ACPFB) span the years 1935-1980. The ACPFB, which was established by the Communist Party, was active regarding immigration legislation, individual immigration litigation, and public education on these issues. The bulk of the material deals with the ACPFB's activities in the 1950's; the collection includes correspondence of the ACPFB's general counsel, Ira Gollobin.
