Immediate Source of Acquisition

Donated by the Democratic Socialist Organizing Committee; 1980. Additional accessions were donated by the Democratic Socialists of America in 1983, 1984, 1985, and 1989. The accession numbers associated with these gifts are 1970.018, 1980.017, NPA 2002.022, and NPA 2006.030.

Processing Information note

Photographs were separated from this collection during initial processing and were established as a separate collection, the Democratic Socialists of America [International Union of Socialist Youth World Festival] Photographs (PHOTOS 129). In 2014, the photograph collection was reincorporated into the the Democratic Socialists of America Records.

In 2014, the archived websites were added as a series.

Series I was processed as the Democratic Socialists of America and Michael Harrington Correspondence by David Donabedian in May 1991. Series II-XI were processed by Alizah Zinberg in January 1985. Series XII consists of a box level inventory, done in circa 2009.
