Container List

Series IX: Unprocessed Materials, circa 1930-1998 1960-1985

This series has not been arranged by an archivist. The materials are arranged in the order which they were received from the donor.

Processing Information

Materials in boxes 4 through 7 were rehoused in acid-free folders in 2013 for preservation reasons. Since acquisition, the papers had been stored in loose bundles tied with twine or acidic, disintegrating envelopes and folders. In cases where there was descriptive information on the envelopes or original folders, it was transcribed to the new folder or photocopied and placed with the materials. Original order and groupings were preserved.

The materials in Box 8 have not received preservation rehousing.

Scope and Content Note

Series 9 is comprised of materials that came to the repository after the initial donation was processed. Types of materials include manuscripts, articles, correspondence, and photographic and graphic materials. Much of the series is various drafts of the manuscript Tales of Three Worlds.
