Abstract: Robert Lekachman (1920-1989) was a progressive economist and professor at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York who drew upon Marxian an Keynesian ideas to promote social justice along with economic growth, aided by an activist governmental role. The bulk of collection consists of typescripts, most of published works; articles and book reviews, correspondence, research files, including clippings and reports, and a copy of his doctoral dissertation. NOTE: This collection is housed offsite and advance notice is required for use.
