Scope and Contents
Contains circulars, reports, and other internal documents and printed ephemera including produced by and relating to several New Left organizations, principally based in New York City, including the women's and peace movements, files on sexual discrimination in employment and in the workplace, the Black Panther Party, essays submitted to the "New York Element" of the Peace and Freedom Party, and documents relating to the negotiation of the first contract of the Social Service Employees Union. Some of the material is authored by Oursler. One notable document is a 16 pp. typescript on the relations between the SDA (Social Democracy of America -- possibly referring to or a shortening of the Socialist Party-Social Democratic Federation) and the Young Socialist League, probably written in the mid to late 1950s.
