Biographical Note
Jill Hamberg is an urban planner specializing in research and analysis in housing, homelessness, and community needs. While a student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts in the 1960s, Hamberg was active in the Students for a Democratic Society. Throughout the 1960s and 1970s, she was active in the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, People Against Racism, and the Economic Research and Action Project.
