Oliver Lincoln Lundquist (1916-2009), an architect and industrial designer, led the team that created the United Nations logo. For a number of years, he worked directly with Alger Hiss and the architect Eero Saarinen, preparing visual presentations for the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Washington press corps.
