Abstract
Russell Phillips, an employee of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and member of Local 1199, was fired in 1983 after a physical altercation on October 28, 1983, with another employee, apparently arising from Mr. Phillips' distribution of radical political literature. This collection contains union and management briefs and exhibits, and American Arbitration Association rulings, ultimately upholding the dismissal of Mr. Phillips.

Russell Phillips, who worked in the engineering department of Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, was fired after a physical altercation on October 28, 1983, with another employee, Andres Alfonso, apparently arising from Mr. Phillips' distribution of radical political literature of the Progressive Labor Party.
