Abstract
Edwin Eugene Herron (1907-1984) was an artist for Intercontinental Press, a journal published in New York from 1963 to 1986 on behalf of the United Secretariat of the Fourth International. This collection consists of 206 drawings by Herron and an issue of Intercontinental Press from August 1, 1977. Many of the drawings relate to politics of the 1970s and contain caricatures of prominent domestic and foreign leaders.
Historical/Biographical Note
The artist Edwin Eugene Herron was born in Chinook, Montana, in 1907, and died in Fort Bragg, California, in 1984. He was an artist for the journal Intercontinental Press which was published in New York from 1963 to 1986 on behalf of the United Secretariat of the Fourth International.

Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of 206 drawings by Ed Herron and an issue of Intercontinental Press from August 1, 1977. The drawings are mostly small items taken from four albums titled Our Times, Our Times Volume II, Our Times continued, and News Briefs. Most of the drawings are related to the politics of the 1970s-early 1980s including enviromentalism, nuclear war, civil rights, President Nixon, President Reagan and several other world leaders. There is also a folder of miscellaneous undated drawings (mostly of dogs) by Ed Herron. While Ed Herron was an artist for Intercontinental Press, it is not clear whether or not these drawings were published in the journal.
