Abstract: David Havens is a former minister who captured documentary photographs of the Cuban Revolution in 1959. The collection contains 51 black-and-white photographs Havens took during the Cuban Revolution. The photos in the collection were taken during the first week of the revolution between January 4 and Fidel Castro's arrival in Havana on January 8. Photographs include images of pro-Castro demonstrations, revolutionary soldiers entering the city of Havana, and Cuban architecture.
