The Mimi Pichey Collection on Socialist Travel consists of materials collected by Pichey documenting her travel to and presentations about Cuba, Grenada, Nicaragua, and the Soviet Union in the late 20th century. Materials in this collection include color slides Mimi Pichey captured during a trip to Cuba in January 1980, as well as a speech, promotional event flier, and audio recording of her presentation at Cuba Today: An Eyewitness Report on February 24, 1980 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Organized by the Socialist Workers Party, Cuba Today: An Eyewitness Report featured Pichey sharing her experiences and findings about the political status of Cuba from her trip. The collection also includes correspondence, itineraries, travel ephemera, such as a map of Havana and a restaurant menu. Other materials include a script for a separate presentation, a labor publication, meeting notes, and outgoing correspondence.
