Abstract

This collection consists of United Federation of Teachers (UFT) newsletters compiled by Lewis Friedman as well as several folders related to UFT leader Steve Zeluck. Lewis (a.k.a. Lew) Friedman was a United Federation of Teachers Caucus delegate and a member of the UFT board. He worked closely with fellow union member Steve Zeluck, organizing for the UFT and other anit-war and teachers' movements. Newsletters in this collection include issues of Another View (UFT-District 14, 1971-1974), UFT Delegate News (1989-1994), School Voices (1991, 1996) Chalk Dust, (UFT, 1981-1983) and a variety of other newsletters produced in the 1970s and 1980s. Materials related to Steve Zeluck include an assortment of newsletters, memoranda, flyers, and a folder of clippings and programs regarding Zeluck's memorial in 1985.
