Where lies the wrong in the one case which does not equally pertain to the other? . . ."

This article compares the immorality of Pierce Butler's slave auction to the importation of slaves from Africa. The author suggests that Southern sentiment towards slavery is hypocritical, as it is outraged by the latter but condones the former.
