Descriptive Summary

Title: Duane Family Papers
Dates [inclusive]: 1700-1945
Abstract: Papers consist largely of the legal documents of James Duane, his son James C. Duane, and son-in-law, George W. Featherstonhaugh. Also includes correspondence and memorabilia from Duane family members.

The Duane Family Papers are digitized and available in the Shelby White and Leon Levy Digital Library. The collection is separated into the  Duane family papers 1665-1916 (bulk 1756-1900) and the  Duane family cookbooks, 1840-1874.
