Abstract: |
This collection contains records of Rebuild by Design, a New York regional competition
launched in 2013 by President Obama's Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force and led
by the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University, the Regional Plan Association,
the Municipal Arts Society and the Van Alen Institute. It was a multi-stage planning
and design competition to develop solutions to continuing threats resulting from climate
change. The collection consists primarily of records related to competition planning,
press releases, and interim and final deliverables. There are also a number of photos
and videos of site visits, meetings, and various events.
